3 Ways to Make it Better

3 Ways to Make it Better

Homework, projects, and carpools are in full swing. Halloween, ushering in the holiday season, is just around the corner. The news is wearing.

How can you make the best of it?

First, take stock and give yourself credit for the things you’ve done well. When you didn’t yell at your son when he unplugged your phone to charge his school tablet, it’s a win! When you bought a pack of poster boards on clearance last summer and you knew exactly where it was when your daughter asked, it’s a win! When you passed up the brownie bites in the break room, it’s a win! Celebrate your brilliant actions and decisions.

Next, never read your work email at home. Explain to your boss and co-workers that it’s a commitment you’ve made to your family. That way they won’t expect a reply. You’re in charge of you, so set boundaries to make your life easier.

Finally, do one thing, at least one, that makes you feel wonderful. Whether it is exercising, writing in your gratitude journal or meditating, don’t let a day pass without doing it. The joy is yours.

I admire all that you do for you and your family. I’m an email away if you need me.

Warm regards,

JoAnn
